Dear Friends of the World,

I’m a 30-something-year-old woman who has recently given up a rooted existence in Minnesota, my home state, for a writer’s nomad life. A backpack with an expedition hammock, a loaded Kindle library, and a few other essentials–paper and pens, of course–has replaced my cozy attic apartment filled with books.

The purpose of this blog is to act as a collection pool for essays inspired through travel and exploration. While writing on themes as varied as culture, history, the environment, spirituality, and identity, I’ll weave in travel insights from wherever I happen to be.

I hope you can join my journey through your comments. I would love to hear from you.

If you wish to peruse photos only, feel free to check out my online photo gallery here.

To that wine dark tidal wave called Future,

Cici Woolf
